Tilor Ridge, a former teacher, was featured on the 360 feature on Amendment 73 – a $1.6 billion tax increase for education.
Problems with Amendment 73:
- Harms local economies without guaranteeing better outcomes for students or higher teacher pay
- Moves Colorado from a flat income tax rate of 4.63% to a progressive income tax with the top bracket at 8.25% (a 78% increase)
- 30% tax increase on corporations that provide Colorado jobs
- Robs funding from other services that use local property taxes, including local government, fire and police services, and health care providers.
